Any way to receive variables?

posted Nov 09, 2017 18:19:51 by MarkA.Dittenber
I am wondering if MOVI can receive a voice command and use that as a variable? I haven't found anything in the examples yet unless I have missed it. I would like to say something like "Caluculate x." x being a number. Then return a value. Either through speech or I'll display it on a screen, possibly both. If an example exists I just haven't found it yet.

You need to tell MOVI every word you want to recognize.

The one example that comes close to what you want to do is called SentenceSets and is under Examples/.../proficient/. It's a program that records a phone number.

Thanks, I have started looking at that. At the moment I am looking at the practicality and speed of using that method. For what I am looking for it may not be a viable solution. Still, it looks promising to show a prototype and to see what is possible.
